Bodenmais is the winter sports destination in the Bavarian Forest. Located at the foot of the Großer Arber, the highest mountain in the region, it offers winter sports enthusiasts a wide variety of activities, including snowshoeing, skiing, sledging and ski touring. With the Bretterschachten cross-country skiing centre, Bodenmais is one of the most snow-sure cross-country skiing regions in Germany. Up to 114 kilometres of trails – classic and skating – await all cross-country skiing enthusiasts here.
